The Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) pairs the same engine with a stronger electric motor and a larger battery, boosting the output to 210 horsepower. The plug-in version allows short electric-only trips and can recharge via an external power source. 

Front-wheel drive and an electric continuous variable transmission are standard on all trims. All-wheel drive is available as an option.

The plug-in variant features an 11.2-kWh battery, offering an all-electric range of approximately 37 miles. After the battery is depleted, it achieves a combined rating of 40 mpg in hybrid mode.

The 2024 Ford Escape Hybrid offers a spacious and comfortable interior. The cabin materials are durable and functional, with higher trims offering synthetic leather upholstery for an upgraded feel. 

It seats up to five passengers. Both front and rear seats offer plenty of room, so passengers won’t feel cramped on longer drives. 

With the rear seats up, there’s enough space for groceries, luggage, or sports gear. Fold down the seats, and you can easily fit larger items like bikes or small furniture. It’s ideal for both errands and weekend trips for small families.
